Ska Brewing Parody Mocks More Successful, Better Looking Craft Brewers

DURANGO, COLO., (Mar. 6, 2011) —It’s different colors, it has alcohol, it’s beer… but for Dave Thibodeau and his co-minions at Ska Brewing Co., (the very first craft brewery to copy Oskar Blues by canning), beer is a passion, a business, and a personal quest to make delicious craft beer and stay employed at the same time. “Brew Minions”, viewable at  http://www.vimeo.com/20604077  , is a parody of the Discovery Channel’s recent series “Brew Masters”, featuring Sam Calagione and Dogfish Head Brewery…

Its the Lil Douchebag Alphabet. Yes, you heard that right. (Thanks @LaughingSquid!)

How have I not been following this Tumblr already?! Although I think I follow enough hipster-humor blogs already, it gets kind of old, reading these things that just state the obvious.

And I’m curious about cross-cultural relevance. Do people with no hipsters in their life understand this shit? I mean you don’t need to be a full-blooded hipster yourself but I think you need to have a certain level of interaction with the hipster culture to enjoy the mockery.

No? Yes?

Love this! I might have to splurge! Nerdy at its finest!

Attempting to resist the urge to buy both of these for this dude I know. ;)

Tee of the Day: “Polar Beer” by Ian Leino.
Back by overwhelming popular demand, the Polar Beer shirt is once again available for purchase, just in time for the start of final season celebrations!
Why yes, that DHARMA Beer Station logo is still available in button form, thanks for re-asking.
[thanks ian!]

  • Me, commenting on Twitter: "Sometimes less is more when it comes to danger" - Ginger Zee, followed by more word vomit (nod to @LaughingLoud for catching that one)
  • Ginger Zee's very delayed response: @anhalt Take this for word vomit :) Many more reasons: http://www.nbcchicago.com/station/as-seen-on/Why_So_Much_Snow__Chicago.html
  • Me: @GingerZeeNBC It was a great soundbyte! You have to expect the common folk to get a kick out of broadcasters' grandiose statements!
  • Ginger: @anhalt That's just it.I'm a meteorologist.Didn't study broadcasting.I am typically very accurate. Had to reply cause "word vomit" was used.
  • Me: @GingerZeeNBC Phrase from "Mean Girls" and its not like my joke has any influence on the viewing public. Also TV Meterologist = broadcaster
  • Ginger: @anhalt I have seen that film. Love it. Meteorologist still = meteorologist :) that happens to be on TV. Happy New Year.
  • Me: @GingerZeeNBC I'm surprised you bothered to keep this ridiculous conversation going. Have a great 2010! Brant's still around, right?
But this… this works.

But this… this works.

What a dumb resolution.

What a dumb resolution.

OMFG awesome. This really just made my day. But then again “The Room” has that power.
