So we have over 600 people in our contact list. This will be our first e-newsletter. Its designed and ready to go. But the Constant Contact trial is nowhere near adequate (max 100 contacts, 5 images, etc). So I need input… What are some good email management websites/programs that are also inexpensive? And random: can anyone explain why I’m getting errors in Thunderbird when I try...

As someone who is convinced she has a Peter Pan complex, you wouldn’t think much of anything worth mentioning would come from this 26 year old city girl. But surprise! I often muse over theories of…

A world of difference
A year ago this Friday was one of the worst days of my life. Life as I knew it was going to change forever. My stomach was in my throat, my brain was fuzzy and I wanted to die. Mostly because suddenly my future was unknown and Jess doesn’t deal with the unknown too well. I was told of my impending layoff. I had 45 days to prepare for unemployment (which was generous). Forty-five days of...

You cant throw a bottle and not find Metropolitan
It’s been awhile since I’ve perused the customer information provided by our distributor (Windy City) and, golly, how awesome to see who has picked us up in the last month or two. The list is always growing and there are 100s of bars, restaurants and stores in the city and suburbs that support us. Here are a few of the newer joints that piqued my interest: Nightwood: the much-talked...

Why isn’t Tumblr properly importing my Blogger feed (anhalt.blogspot.com)? The settings are correct, best to my knowledge. A little help?

Twenty Ten
(via Julia Allison via Trib columnist Mary Schmich) One thing I will learn: (home)brewing. I want in on the magic. I just hope I can wrap my head around the science of it all. One place I will go: too see friends in either New York or California (SF/LA) One physical habit I will break nailbiting (gross) One physical habit I will cultivate: proper posture...

For my future reference… vikax: 1. Lamebook - Poking fun at all those wackjobs who use Facebook. 2.
